Some 12 years ago in 1998 Tom approached the NetBookings team and asked "is it possible for people to book by dialing in". The answer was yes and the NB Dive Booking System was born.
At first dive shops were required to have a special program on their pc and a modem that would dial into Tom's PC. This system was used for around 4 years and then the internet was showing that it could be the way people communicate, so a web based version for online bookings was developed that still required a PC program to sit on Tom's PC.
After another couple of years working with many companies in the tourism industry, NetBookings was extended to other tourism industries such as: accommodation, day and day tours.
OzDive was the first to have the Agent booking module installed and dive shops in Melbourne have been using this feature every other day since 2008.
Accommodation businesses wanted NB to supply online booking systems.

Bayplay owners approached the NB team to see if their business was also suited to the NetBookings Tour Booking system. Bayplay offers a wide range of activities including: SCUBA diving courses, discover SCUBA, snorkelling, sea kayaking, surfing, dolphin swims, horse riding and marine education.
Bayplay have grown with NetBookings and are now one of the most advanced users of the system and schedule many tours per day and also sell gift vouchers.

Hank asked if NB would suite thier business. NB was quickly adapted to run dolphin swimming charters. They have two trips per day and also sell gift vouchers.
Many new ideas came from businesses offering sea kayaking, hot springs, cooking schools and fishing charters. Now with over 300 users Australia wide!
